Today (June 2), Becky G released her latest single, “The Fire Inside” and it’s served hot. The track is part of the soundtrack of the upcoming movie, “Flamin’ Hot.”
On “The Fire Inside,” Becky G sizzles over the vibey reggaeton track as she sings affirmations about embracing your inner fire and pursuing your dreams. The all-English single was written by the legendary Diane Warren, whose accolades include Academy Award nominations and numerous Grammy, Emmy, and Golden Globe wins throughout her career.
The track is served fresh off the soundtrack for “Flamin’ Hot,” the film inspired by the true story of Richard Montañez and how his job as a janitor at Frito Lay may have led to the invention of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Despite a report from the L.A. Times challenging the claim, the film’s director Eva Longoria told Remezcla that she was “absolutely” confident in moving forward with the film.
“Flamin’ Hot” will premiere on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally on June 9. The film stars Jesse Garcia as Richard, alongside Annie Gonzalez, Emilio Rivera, Dennis Haysbert, and Tony Shalhoub.
After her star-studded Coachella set, Becky G is currently gearing up for her very first headlining tour, which is scheduled to kick off on Sep. 14 in Boston, MA. The trek will visit major cities across the U.S., including Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, and San Antonio.
