The highly anticipated MLS x Leagues Cup tournament is in full swing with a revamp that reflects its new identity. This year’s fútbol tournament has undergone a fashion and brand makeover led by Mexican-American creative director Oved Valadez from the INDUSTRY brand consultancy. Concurrently, the visionary Guatemalan-American streetwear designer Guillermo Andrade from 424 on Fairfax – was appointed as the first-ever creative advisor for the regional tournament.
The 2023 Leagues Cup tournament is introducing five limited edition capsule and fanwear collections. The exclusive inaugural collaboration between Andrade’s 424 brand and repurposed Adidas wear launched on July 21st. This activewear lineup which ranges from $45-$82, features monochrome jackets, tees, jerseys, and tracksuits with classic Adidas 3-stripe vinyl logo treatments accented with 424, Adidas, and Leagues Cup graphic transfers.
The second limited-edition Leagues Cup collection releases on Tuesday, August 1st is co-designed by Andrade and the Mexican high-end fashion brand, Liberal Youth Ministry, founded by Antonio Zaragoza. In a press release statement Zaragoza shares, “It is a privilege and an honor to collaborate with Guillermo and the Leagues Cup. We have an incredible opportunity to inspire the next generation through the sport of fútbol on a global stage.”
The vibrant jersey sets emblazoned with buzzy graphic prints celebrate national cultural emblems from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, showcased in four distinct colorways and priced at $283 each.

Furthermore, the Fanwear collaborations; “I LOVE SOCCER” (released on 7/21), Liberal Youth Ministry (to be released on 8/1), and Championship (releasing on 8/19) comprise of tees, long sleeves, and hats serving as sports and fashion memorabilia, also available on leaguescup.com and at Leagues Cup fútbol stadiums.
