Is Beyoncé on Cardi B’s New Album?

Could Cardi B be working with Beyoncé on new music? The Dominican-American superstar appeared to hint at the possibility during a recent interview.

Beyon has worked with plenty of rap queens throughout her career. In 2013, she first collaborated with Nicki Minaj on the remix of “Flawless.” A year later, they teamed up again for the song “Feeling Myself” on Minaj’s The Pinkprint album. In 2020, Beyoncé also jumped on the remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s global smash “Savage.” One woman in hip-hop that Beyoncé has yet to work with is Cardi B.

Beyoncé has shown Cardi B plenty of love throughout her career. Last year, Beyoncé sent Cardi B a vinyl record of her album Renaissance with a sweet note. “Hard working, beautiful, and talented queen,” she wrote. “Thank you for always supporting me. Sending so much love to you and yours.” Now it looks like they could be working on some music together finally.

In an interview with Pandora, Cardi B was asked if Beyoncé will be included on her next album. She was completely tongue-tied when trying to answer that question. Cardi B neither confirming nor denying a collaboration with Queen Bey excited people on social media about the prospect.

“Cardi B’s tight-lipped response about a potential Beyoncé feature has us all buzzing,” wrote one account on Twitter. “The mere possibility is enough to set the music world on fire.” Another person wrote, “Cardi B was speechless after she was asked if Beyoncé is on her upcoming album… girl just answer the question.”

Cardi B’s last album, Invasion of Privacy, was released in 2018, so her fans have been waiting for the follow-up for a long time. Since then, she has released global hits like “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion. Tomorrow (Sep. 8), Cardi B will team up with Megan Thee Stallion again for her next single, “Bongos.”
