Two Latine pop stars will be hosting the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards. Today (Oct. 19), the Latin Recording Academy revealed that Danna Paola and Sebastián Yatra will be leading this year’s ceremony with Roselyn Sánchez and Paz Vega.
The 24th annual Latin Grammy Awards will be held in Seville, Spain, next month. Puerto Rican media personality Roselyn Sánchez and Spanish actress Paz Vega, known for appearing in the Netflix series La Casa De Las Flores, will be hosting. From the music side of the industry, they will be joined by Danna Paola and Sebastián Yatra.
Danna Paola was previously nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in 2021. She received her first nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album for K.O. She has since returned with a string of hit singles, including “XT4S1S” and “Tenemos Que Hablar.” Danna co-produced both songs herself for her upcoming album. Last month, she wrapped up her first major U.S. tour. This Friday, Spanish singer Aitana will release her “AQYNE” music video featuring Danna Paola.
Speaking of Aitana, Sebastián Yatra singer was romantically linked with her this past year. The Colombian star received one Latin Grammy nomination for Best Pop Song for “Contigo” featuring Spanish Pablo Alborán this year. Yatra won his first two Latin Grammy Awards in 2022 for Best Pop Song for “Tacones Rojos” and Best Pop Vocal Album for Dharma.
The Latin Recording Academy announced the first round of performers earlier this week. Feid, Rauw Alejandro, and Carin León will be hitting the stage. Bizarrap, Alejandro Sanz, and María Becerra were confirmed as performers as well.
The Latin Grammy Awards will take place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) on Nov. 16. The broadcast is set to air live via Univision, UniMás, and Galavisión at 8 p.m. ET.
