Our favorite Latine music festival lineups are being revealed. On Jan. 23, the annual music festival announced the lineup for Sueños 2024, featuring headliners Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro, Maluma, and Ivan Cornejo. The highly-anticipated festival will take place at Grant Park in Chicago, IL, from May 25 to 26.
On Saturday (May 25), Rauw Alejandro and Ivan Cornejo will headline the event. Other artists include Young Miko, Bizarrap, Rels B, and XAVI. Álvaro Díaz, Latin Mafia, and Elena Rose will also perform on this date. Other performances include Red Bull Batalla. Sorry Papi and DJ Miriam will also come back this year.
On Sunday (May 26), Peso Pluma and Maluma are slated as headliners. Mora, Jowell Y Randy, Manuel Turizo, and Gabito Ballesteros will also grace the stage. Other artists include Bad Gyal, Alexis Y Fido, Dani Flow, and Delilah. DJ Fredy Fresco and Dynamiq will also return this year.
While the festival boasts diversity in genres – featuring artists spanning across reggaeton, trap, sad sierreño, house, and more – it also raises eyebrows on the lack of women artists performing. Although Young Miko, Elena Rose, Delilah, and Bad Gyal are among those representing Latine and Spanish-speaking artists in the music scene, there are only six female artists on the Sueños 2024 lineup, out of the 25+ artists promised on the lineup. Moreover, Sueños 2023 featured seven female artists, including Sorry Papi. This was a huge jump compared to the festival’s inaugural lineup (2022), which included a total of three female performers.
