Anuel AA has teamed up with Reebok and Foot Locker for their second sneaker in their collaborative “Sky Above the Street” collection for Autism Awareness Month.
Inspired by the mantra “the sky is the limit,” Anuel AA’s second shoe celebrates “the ethos of dreaming and achieving success without limitations.” It comes in two signature Reebok models.
One of the models is “Classic Leather,” which is a retro design featuring white leather with a hint of sky blue. Reebok’s iconic logo is embossed on the heel of the shoe and Anuel’s signature double A logo is also part of the design.
The second model is “Question Mid,” a modern twist on former NBA star Allen Iverson’s OG signature basketball sneaker. The sneaker is an all-white leather shoe with a black leather toe, hints of blue, and Anuel’s personal branding.
As part of the collaboration, Reebok and Foot Locker are donating funds to Autism Speaks, a nonprofit organization that serves individuals on the autism spectrum. Autism Awareness Month is celebrated the entire month of April.
“Even if ASD (autism spectrum disorder) doesn’t affect you personally or someone in your immediate family, chances are you know someone on the spectrum,” John Hochadel, Foot Locker Inc. global VP of footwear development, said in a statement. “We want to help promote inclusion within the autism community – not just for this month, but day in and day out.”
To mark the launch of the first sneaker last year, a collaborative donation was made to SER De Puerto Rico, a nonprofit organization that supports people with disabilities.
“I’m excited to be launching this collection with Reebok and Foot Locker, Inc,” Anuel told People en Español last year. “This partnership is special to me.”
The “Question Mid” sneaker in the “Sky Above the Street” collection is available for purchase online and in select stores at Foot Locker and Reebok. The Classic Leather shoe will be available online and in select Champs Sports stores.
