Bad Bunny and adidas are teaming up once again for a new version of the Response CL. According to a release from adidas, the design is “a reflection of the talented artist’s vision and passion” and includes a few surprises.
“Benito always seeks a different angle and way to tell a story,” a release from adidas read. “When he feels comfortable in a space, he moves with ‘El Paso Fino,’ that unique, elegant, and confident walk, towards the unknown.”
The new sneakers are inspired by a “Western universe” and are reminiscent of a desert landscape.
Adidas describes the sneaker’s colorway as evoking “the arid tones of the land with a palette of browns in various shades and touches of deep purple.” There are also different textures and lines in the design with a rubber outsole, the adidas three stripes logo, and Bad Bunny’s signature eye logo.
In the campaign film for the shoes, a vaquero is standing in the desert during a sunset. His silhouette shows off his lean frame and cowboy hat. Instead of cowboy boots, he’s wearing a pair of the Response CLs. “Have you ever dared to walk into the unknown,” the narrator says in Spanish. “It’s like taking a leap of faith. Relying on your gut feeling and setting out to explore the desert.”
Benito’s new Response CL will be available in stores, online, and on the confirmed app on the official Bad Bunny website. It will also be available at the adidas flagship store starting October 28. The sneakers are retailed at $160.
