Latine stars were out in full force Saturday night (July 8) at MLB’s 2023 Celebrity Softball Game for a little pitching, hitting, catching – and dancing.

Showing off their bachata moves on the field during the evening’s festivities were Puerto Rican singer Yandel; Dominican singer Natti Natasha; Dominican-American comedian and TV personality The Kid Mero; and Cuban-Dominican-American comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member Marcello Hernández.

At one point, The Kid Mero tried to help out their teammate, actor Adam DeVine, find his inner Latino and sway his hips like Shakira.

Yandel made sure to share a video of his 2-run homerun on his social media and thanked the MLB for the invitation to participate.

Natasha was a good sport on her social media. She posted a photo of herself swinging and missing a pitch during the game. “I got tricked,” she wrote. “Very high. We had a great time. That’s what’s important.”

The Kid Mero posted photos after the game of the moment he met his baseball idol, Ken Griffey Jr. “Shoutout to the MLB for helpin me achieve a legendary side quest and meet one of my baseball idols,” he wrote. “Had wild fun at the celebrity softball game.”

Hernández shared some photos and videos of his experience during the game. In one video, he walked up to the plate with a lot of attitude. Last November, Hernández performed in an SNL skit where he talked about the talent and entertainment value that Latino players bring to the MLB.
