The Paris 2024 Olympics are coming, and Telemundo has taken the lead in Spanish-language coverage by being the hub for such a momentous occasion. Through Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock, viewers will be covering the entire Olympic games, but that isn’t the only thing that viewers will be getting.
This coverage is larger than anything Telemundo has done before, meaning extensive coverage and recaps of the games, with a special focus on Men’s and Women’s Soccer for Team USA. Aside from the actual games, viewers will also be treated to a one-hour special titled Paris 2024: En Busca del Sueño Olímpico: “In Search of the Olympic Dream,” which will explore a collection of inspiring Latine athletes. The special will be on Saturday, July 20, on Telemundo at 5 p.m. ET, followed by a re-air on Universo at 8 p.m. ET.
The programming for the event will begin on Wednesday, July 24th, at 8 a.m. ET on Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock with the Men’s Soccer Competition. From there, the opening ceremonies will air on July 26th at 1 p.m. ET. Viewers can expect 6 hours of coverage for the Summer Games and 12 hours on Soccer Days. Telemundo will also air a two-hour recap every day of the event starting at 12 a.m. ET from July 26th to August 11th.
Telemundo Deportes will cover sports relevant to the Latine audiences, such as boxing and basketball, and new additions like swimming, diving, and gymnastics. Digital and social media outlets will also offer Spanish-language coverage focusing on its many countries and athletes other than.
Telemundo will also have app coverage via the Telemundo app and additional information via NBC.com’s “TV Everywhere” for customers with pay-TV subscriptions.
The Paris 2024 Olympics will take place in France from July 26 to August 11th, 2024.
