It’s sad boyz season! On Aug. 4, Junior H enlisted Grupo Firme’s Eduin Caz for his newest song and music video, “El Patrocinador,” off his upcoming album $ad Boyz 4 Life 2.
“THE FIRST SINGLE FROM MY NEXT ALBUM #SBZ4L2 IS COMING,” the Mexican singer wrote when he announced the new track. “IT’S SOMETHING WE HAVE BEEN SAVING FOR YOU WITH MY PRECIOUS @eduincaz @grupofirme 💜💜💜💜.”
Directed by Johnny Ragr, the music video features the duo singing the new heartwrenching banda song. In true emotionally hard-hitting banda fashion, the song narrates the aftermath of a bad breakup and talks about how the person will eventually recognize what they missed out on. As far as the visuals go, the video goes back in forth from the IRL video of the duo performing to a psychedelic-like and animated version of the performance. Overall, it embodies both artists’ signature way of creating breakup anthems that will surely be played at the end of this summer’s pedas.
Social media users are praising the new track. An online user said: “chale between grupo frontera, grupo firme and junior h you are left with no stability whatsoever.” Another social media user commented: “AS ALWAYS TO MAKE US CRY.”
Up next, Junior H will embark on his 19-city Sad Boyz Tour 2023, which will kick off with a performance at the iconic Cypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA, on Aug. 11. The highly-anticipated tour will also take him to cities like Miami, FL, Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix, AZ, before wrapping up at the Payne Arena in Hidalgo, TX, on Dec. 2.
On the other hand, Grupo Firme’s Eduin Caz also dropped a new collaboration with Grupo Frontera yesterday (Aug. 3). The new joint track “EL AMOR DE SU VIDA” is part of Grupo Frontera’s new album El Comienzo.
