Karol G is safe and sound. The Colombian superstar spoke out after the reports of her private airplane’s emergency landing last night (Feb. 29).
“Thanks to everyone who has been concerned and to those who have checked in with messages,” the “TQG” singer wrote on Instagram in Spanish. “My family, my team, and I are all very well and thankful for a new opportunity… God takes care of us and blesses us daily with life and health.”
The statement comes after KABC-TV reported that La Bichota’s private jet had to make an emergency landing after a report of smoke in the cockpit. According to the report, the private plane was carrying 16 people, including the singer and her entourage. The plane was traveling from Hollywood Burbank Airport heading east.
Her next concert is slated to be in Guatemala City, Guatemala, after wrapping up her successful trek in Mexico. The plane unexpectedly had to do an urgent landing at Van Nuys Airport.
Karol followed up her statement with a photo of her baby niece Sophie, with the words: “I love you, Sophie.” Despite the emergency, Karol also let her fans know that she will be performing tonight (March 1) in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
After her show in Guatemala, the pop star is continuing her Mañana Será Bonito Tour’s Latin American leg in various regions. This month, she will also perform in El Salvador (March 5), Costa Rica (March 9-10), Dominican Republic (March 15-16), and Venezuela (March 22-23). She will also visit Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil.
