The fight between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul wasn’t the only brawl that happened inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, Saturday night (August 5).
Diaz fans weren’t very happy when Paul beat the UFC star in a unanimous decision after 10 rounds of boxing. They apparently took their frustration out by fighting Paul fans who were celebrating his victory, including Paul’s brother, Logan Paul.
In a battle royale-type fight inside the hallways of the arena, multiple skirmishes were caught on video between individuals. One guy in a Texas flag shirt was throwing punches with another guy in a cowboy hat as onlookers whistled and laughed at the spectacle.
In another situation that happened inside the arena near the ring, a Diaz fan went after Logan Paul, who was in attendance to watch his brother. The Diaz fan started exchanging words with Logan and then tried to attack him. Officials were able to stop the fight from getting out of hand, which almost happened when someone in the vicinity lifted a chair to use as a weapon. Luckily, the chair wasn’t thrown and the exchange didn’t end with any black eyes.
This was Diaz’s first boxing match of his career and Paul’s eighth. Paul now has a 7-1 record. His only loss came earlier this year to Tommy Fury. He praised Diaz for a good fight during an interview after the match.
“He’s a warrior,” Paul said. “I had him in the first round. He kept on coming. No one has taken that much damage. All credit to my team and my conditioning.”
