Peso Pluma is helping celebrate the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Today (Nov. 3), the Mexican superstar released the music video for “Peligro,” inspired by the video game.
In October 2022, Call of Duty first tapped into the música mexicana market with Banda MS. The Mexican group released the song “141,” which coincided with the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Now, Peso Pluma is teaming up with Call of Duty for the third installment of the Modern Warfare series.
“I enjoy playing Call of Duty while on tour with my friends and team and couldn’t be more excited to create a song for my fans to celebrate the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III,” Peso Pluma shared in a statement.
Peso Pluma’s song “Peligro” is based on the story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. In the fiery corrido track, he sings about being ready to go to war alongside the video game’s Task Force 141. With the backing of Captain John Price, Peso Pluma adds that he isn’t afraid to help them take on the opposing Konni Group. He comes face-to-face with the Konni in the action-packed music video, which introduces the new female operator Warden. A few Latina streamers portray members of the Konni, including RiversGG, AmbaBlitz, and Ari Gameplays. El Mariana is another streamer who also makes a cameo appearance.
“For us, community in our beats is key, and we also want them to be a part of the celebration, so in the music video we included five of the biggest content creators in Latin America as an easter egg that fans will love,” Rodrigo Perez, director of product management for Call of Duty Latin America, added. “Aside from Warden, the female Konni members are also a thank you to
our female community which is continuously growing.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be released worldwide on Nov. 10. Players who pre-purchased any digital version of the game now have access to play campaign mode a week earlier.
