Peso Pluma isn’t happy about the gossip surrounding him and his collaborators. On May 13 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA, the rising Mexican rapper spoke out about the rumors involving Eslabon Armado and their joint track “Ella Baila Sola.”

Before performing the hit collaboration, Peso took a moment to talk about recent speculations. “I don’t talk in interviews… because I don’t like fucking gossip. Where I like to talk is here on the fucking stage,” he said. “Me and my compa Pedro and my compas from Eslabón, me and him, we talk; stop the bullshit, stop putting us in fucking tabloid articles.”

He concluded: “Give credit where credit is due, and that is Pedro Tovar, who wrote the song. Shout out to all of Eslabon. Shout out to the Dell Records team. Shout out to everyone who made it possible for this f*cking song to be number one, and [for it to] keep breaking records, viejo.”

Rumors surrounded Peso and Eslabon Armado about them not seeing eye to eye after Peso performed “Ella Baila Sola” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” by himself. When the media asked Eslabon Armado if they were invited, they said they weren’t. They also said that, at the time, they hadn’t talked to Peso about it.

Moreover, during a now-deleted TikTok live published that same day (May 1), Eslabon’s Pedro talked further about the situation. “How would you feel if you are at a level, and there is someone else, almost the same level, or [at a level] a little bit higher than you, and you write a song with effort, with feeling—that is your song, it’s your track—and you decide to put someone else on that you like their music, and you don’t [get] credit for your own track?” he said towards the end of the video. “Like what the f*ck? Basically, it is what it is. I didn’t get credit for my song, but I’m not bothered. The song is 100 percent mine.”
