Shakira is spicing up her press agenda. Following the release of her highly-anticipated album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, the Colombian superstar is set to appear on the popular YouTube talk show, Hot Ones, on Thursday (April 4).
Shakira has been booked and busy since her album release week. After dropping her newest album on March 22, she performed a part of it live during a free concert in Times Square in New York City (March 26). She was later featured on Allure’s newest cover story, where she received backlash for her opinions on Barbie.
Now, she’s going to take on the “Wings of Death” alongside host Sean Evans, who puts celebrities in the hot seat for an interview that includes answering questions while eating a lineup of 10 fiery chicken wings. The catch? Each wing is spicier than the last, adding a new unique element to normal interviews.
Shakira’s feature will mark the second Latine celebrity to appear on the 23rd season of Hot Ones. The last Latine to appear was Ice Spice, a week ago (March 28). During Ice’s interview, she talked to Evans about her upcoming album Y2K and what her Gen Z slang meant. However, the Bronx-born rapper didn’t make it to the last wing and instead called it quits after the infamous “Da Bomb” sauce.
Other Latines featured in the popular hot wing show include Carmelo Anthony, Cardi B, Anitta, Pedro Pascal, and Jenna Ortega.
Catch the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer on Hot Ones on Thursday (April 4) at 11 a.m. ET by going to the Hot Ones YouTube channel, @FirstWeFeast.
