Casting news on the Disney+ reboot of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day continues to roll in. The latest actor to board the upcoming Latine-led cinematic version of the best-selling 1972 children’s book of the same name is Cristo Fernández.

According to Deadline, Fernández, who plays Dani Rojas on the hit Apple+ TV series Ted Lasso, will play a character named Chavo in the Alexander reimagining. Chavo is a cook who meets the Garcia family during their road trip to California.

Fernández is also making headlines this week because he was cast on the third season of the Apple+TV series Acapulco starring Eugenio Derbez and the recently cast Jaime Camil.

Joining Fernández on the Alexander reboot is Harvey Guillén. According to Deadline, Guillén will play a character named Claudio, a healer who helps Alexander during his adventure with his family.

Like Fernández, Alexander isn’t the only project Guillén has on his plate. He’s also been tapped to reprise his role as Cousin Blobbin in The Thundermans Return, a spin-off movie based on the Nickelodeon series The Thundermans.

“Good to see old friends and make new ones,” Guillén wrote on social media.

Recently, it was announced that Cheech Marin would replace George Lopez in Alexander because of a scheduling conflict. Marin will now take over the role of Gil Garcia, the family’s tough, motorcycle-riding grandfather. The Alexander cast also includes Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Jesse Garcia (Flamin’ Hot), Paulina Chávez (The Long Game), and Rose Portillo (Zoot Suit).
