Mexican actress and TV host Jacky Bracamontes and Ecuadorian actor, host, and model Danilo Carrera will take the stage as co-hosts for the 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant later this month in El Salvador. They will be leading the Spanish broadcast.
Joining them are Andrea Meza, Carlos Adyan, and Julia Gama according to Deadline. Meza represented Mexican in Miss Universe in 2020 and won. Adyan is a well-known TV host on Telemundo. And Gama was the 1st runner-up at Miss Universe 2020.
Bracamontes was crowned Miss Universe Mexico in 2001. She was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and has hosted several events in the past, including the Latin Grammys, the Billboard Latin Music Awards, the Latin American Music Awards on Telemundo, and Nuestra Belleza México. And seh’s acted in La suerte de Loli and Sortilegio.
In a recent interview posted by Telemundo, Bracamontes talked about the kind of woman she thinks should win the next Miss Universe pageant. “A confident woman,” she said. “A woman who knows who she is.”
Carrera was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is currently a co-host on Hoy Día, a Spanish-language morning television show on Telemundo. As an actor, some of his screen credits include TV series like Cosita Linda, Passion and Power, Quererlo Todo, and El Amor Invencible.
The English broadcast will be hosted by Maria Menounos, a well-established TV presenter and host. The hosts of the 71st Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo and Jeannie Mai, are also returning. Culpo is a Miss Universe 2012 winner. And Mai a seasoned host and stylist.
The 2023 Miss Universe pageant will broadcast in Spanish exclusively on Telemundo and English over on Roku. The pageant will air on November 18, 2023.
