There’s a new festival celebrating música mexicana’s older and newer generations in Mexico City. On May 23, the inaugural edition of ARRE HSBC was announced with a stacked lineup of some of the biggest names in regional Mexican music, including the headliners Natanael Cano, Fuerza Regida, and Peso Pluma. The two-day festival will take place on Sep. 9 and 10 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

The Arre HSBC festival is described as “the world’s largest Mexican music festival.” Consequently, it comes at a huge moment when the movement is at a peak. But today’s popular corridos tumbados aren’t all that the festival has to offer. The stellar lineup also spans other genres like norteño, sierreño, and even cumbia, giving their festival-goers a musically diverse experience.

In addition to staples in regional Mexican music, the newly-announced event will also feature other prominent and emerging artists leaving their mark in the genre. On Saturday (Sep. 9), bands like La Arrolladora Banda El Limón De René Camacho, Los Huracanes del Norte, and Los Cadetes de Linares will perform. Other artists include Alicia Villareal, Chiquis, Marca Registrada, DannyLux, and Conexión Divina.

On Sunday (Sep. 10), featured artists include Edén Muñoz, Luis R Conriquez, Ramón Ayala Y Sus Bravos Del Norte, and Duelo. Other diverse performers on the lineup include Yahritza y Su Esencia, Edith Márquez, Banda Machos, Los Aptos, and La Sonora Dinamita.

“At ARRE HSBC we will be able to enjoy the most authentic music of our country, the one that runs through our veins and that for two days will unite us to dance, sing and remember that Mexican music lives and endures in the hearts of millions of people around the world,” the festival’s press statement reads.

Fans are excited about the new festival. A Twitter user wrote, “Arre HSBC is making me want to live more and more 🫶🏻.” Another Twitter user said, “Five different people sent me the arre HSBC flyer. Algo bien 👀.”

Pre-sale tickets for the highly-anticipated festival will be on sale on May 30 and 31 through HSBC. The general sale starts on June 1. For more information, visit Arre HSBC’s official website.
