Don’t ask Belinda any more questions about her ex-fiancé, Christian Nodal. It’s a point the singer and actress made when she was recently asked by the media about the news that Nodal was having a baby with his current partner, Cazzu.
“I ask you please, I take this opportunity to say that you no longer ask me about past issues,” Belinda said when she stopped to talk and take photos with fans. “Really, it is very annoying. Life happens, everyone has their life. And out of respect for the new family, I think I don’t have to speak of anybody. I always wish the best to everyone. A baby is a great blessing, it’s a joy. So please, I’m not going to answer any more of that. I wish you the best.”
During a concert in Buenos Aires on April 15, Cazzu revealed that she was pregnant when she stepped on the stage wearing a puffer jacket and then dropped it to show off her baby bump. The crowd, not so surprisingly, lost it and cheered the singer on when it came to the happy news.
Nodal commented on being a new father during a recent concert in Aguascalientes, Mexico. “I’m no longer a papacito,” he said. “Now, I’m a father.”
It’s been more than a year since Belinda and Nodal officially ended their relationship. “I want to share that we’ve decided to end our engagement and our relationship, taking the best of the other,” Nodal wrote. Belinda later made her own statement and thanked her fans for their “unconditional love and support.” She said, “I always try to take care of my heart, but it inevitably hurts a lot.”
Both Belinda and Nodal seem to have moved on with their lives, with the former currently doing promotion for season 2 of her Netflix series Welcome to Eden aka Bienvenidos a Edén. It’s probably time everyone else did the same, too.
