Pedro Pascal is a SAG Award winner. Pascal, who was nominated in the Oustanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for The Last of Us, picked up his first major award during the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place on February 24th. The awards aired live on Netflix.

Pascal looked visibly shocked when his name was called, joking that he was “a little drunk,” and that he “thought I could get drunk,” before thanking HBO. Then, an excited Pascal shouted his thanks to the room, before seeming to get a little emotional. He called the award an “incredible honor,” adding a curse word that he tried to censor himself, remembering he was on Netflix.

The actor mentioned the other nominees, though he joked he couldn’t remember any of the names right now. As the speech went on, Pascal mentioned he had “no skills and no other interests,” and he grew up watching HBO, so the least they could do was give him a job.

But the truly emotional moment came when he mentioned his family, who Pascal said may be watching, he wasn’t sure. “I’m going to have a panic attack, and I’m going to leave.” Pascal closed off the speech.

Later, during the winner’s interview with Tan France, Pascal revealed he did not remember one word of his speech. He was so distracted he even left behind the envelope that proclaimed him the winner. Thankfully, Steven Yeun, who won the Oustanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series picked up the envelope and brought it back for Pascal.

It’s okay if he doesn’t remember, though. The entire thing will be available on Netflix to rewatch.

The internet’s reaction to the win? Pure jubilation. As it should be.

And as always, the reminder that he’s little Pedro Pascal from Chile.
